Saved Us A Full Day Of Walking And Got Our Trek Back On Schedule

We Flew Into Phaplu To Do The Quieter Approach Toward Everest Base Camp And Loved The Lower Trail, But By The Time We Reached The Point Where We Needed To Join The Main Khumbu Route, We Were Running A Day Behind Because Of A Weather Delay Earlier In The Trip. Booking A Shared Seat On The Phaplu To Lukla Shuttle Let Us Skip The Overland Walk Between The Two And Get Straight Back Onto Schedule. The Flight Itself Was Over Almost As Soon As It Began, But Even In Those Few Minutes You Could See How Much Ground It Was Saving Us — Terraced Fields And Ridgelines That Would Have Taken Us Most Of A Day To Cross On Foot. Quick, Simple Booking Process And The Staff At Phaplu Had Us Checked In And On The Helicopter With No Fuss At All.

Used It For A Family Matter, Not Tourism, And It Made All The Difference

I Live Near Salleri And Needed To Get To Lukla Quickly For A Family Matter. The Road And Trail Journey Would Have Taken Me The Better Part Of A Day, Maybe Longer Depending On Conditions, And I Simply Didn't Have That Kind Of Time. Himalayan Helicopter Got Me A Seat On A Shared Flight From Phaplu The Same Day I Called, And I Was In Lukla Within Minutes. It's Easy To Think Of Helicopter Flights Here As Just For Tourists Doing The Big Mountain Tours, But For People Like Me Who Live In This District, A Fast And Reliable Option Between Phaplu And Lukla Is Genuinely Useful In Everyday Life. The Staff Were Polite And Efficient And Didn't Overcomplicate What Should Be A Simple Booking.
